appearance: a long haired, blue ticked tabby with green eyes, a scar across his nose bridge and going down to his nose, a nicked left ear, and a missing inch or two of the end of his tail

personality:
hickoryheart is a romantic, he believes in one true love and the idea of spending the rest of his life with the perfect cat is incredibly appealing to him. he easily takes a liking to attractive cats and will spend a moon or two fussing over them 25/7 until he either moves on or is painfully rejected. being rejected time and time again has never led him to refraining from love however, he's told himself he'll never fall in love again, however it seems to happen against his will. though he may be incredibly brave in the face of danger, he's a social coward. he can speak his opinion, yes, all oakclanners can, but he is often terrified of small things, like telling a cat he likes them or having to make small talk. he often over compensates for this by being very bold and daring, but inside he is very fearful of what others think of him. he can become jealous and very emotional, and his emotions are his main motivation. he has a hard time controlling his emotions and finding an internal balance with his feelings is very hard. his temper is short, incredibly short, but he'll quickly spring back from this to be a kind and warm cat. needless to say, his emotions confuse him, as well as others. under stress, he can become violent and aggressive and lash out even at his own clanmates. when things are going easy though, he seems as sweet as a teddy bear, and can be a very fun cat to be around. at heart, he is honorable and kind, even if the situation and his emotions may twist his actions. at the end of the day, despite how short tempered or snappy or aggressive he could've been, he'd risk his life to save another, even one who he wasn't fond of or wasn't part of his clan. in his mind, the value of life is very, very high, and he'd easily sacrifice his own to preserve the life of another cat.

- as a kitten, this tom wasn't very close with his two siblings, and favored being around the adults
- at five moons old, the loss of his father struck; being not particularly close to his father, it didn't hit him very hard- the tom cat had always honestly annoyed him and even embarrassed him with his reckless behavior, but the loss of such a profound warrior baffled and terrified him; he grew to be a bug to his mother, pestering her constantly and craving her affection
- at six moons, he became an apprentice, with rather mixed feelings
apprenticehood
- as an apprentice the tom was a bit of a suck up, preferring to be around the adults and wanting to grow up far too fast but somehow avoiding responsibilities
- two moons into his training, his mentor was killed on the border and he was appointed a new one- after this he became noticeably quiet and cautious, even in the trees
- after crushing on multiple cats, he fell in love with a quiet gib who was his fellow apprentice. after a moon, the cat became sick and died. the loss hit him rather hard, and he would act out in anger because of it
- after growing close with his mentor, and growing even closer to his warrior ceremony, the young cat learned to deal with his anger and finally began to heal
- a moon after his sister, at 13 moons old, he became a warrior
warriorhood
- he was enthusiastic as a young warrior, though still struggling with his anger and still working on himself; however his new name encouraged him to be better and make his dead father, mentor, and crush proud
- at 39 moons old, the tom cat lost an inch or two of his tail in a border scrap with some city cats where a motorcycle ran over the end of it as the fight progressed into the dangerous road
