The camp is situated in a forest clearing on top of a slope, with a thick wall of bushes, brambles, and trees. In the camp clearing there is a large, low flat rock perfect for sunning two or maybe even three cats. The fresh kill is set on a pile of small stones to keep it from getting even more soggy during rains. Going clockwise around the camp wall starting from the entrance, the dens are as follow:

Nursery
The Nursery is enclosed by a few bushes that grew very closely together, made stronger by vines and brambles that have been woven in. To help keep rain from coming in through the top, a low hanging pine branch (also overlaid to make it denser) shelters the den.

Warriors' Den
Three large bushes surround the Warrior's Den, their branches tangled together at the top.

Elders' Den
Underneath a log to help keep rain from pouring in, the Elders' Den has been dug. Roots underground help to hold the dirt up and keep the den from caving in.

Leader's Den
The leader makes their den among a tangle of roots beneath a large oak tree.

Highbranch
A branch that grows perpendicular to the ground is where announcements are made. The branch is from the same tree where the Leader's Den is.

Medicine Cat Den
This den has been dug under a large rock with a built in ledge/nook on the outside (which is often used to dry herbs).

Apprentices' Den
Situated in the hollow of a large tree and shielded by brush and plants that have been allowed to grow over time.

What will you choose?

After you catch anything on a hunting patrol, to the bottom of your post add +1 (or how much you caught) then say the animal and tag @ sio and @ warriorlover without the space.
After eating something, say - 1 (whatever number you use) then say the animal you ate or disposed of.

Examples
Your cat just caught 1,000,000 rabbits.

Your cat just ate 10 mice.

You must refer to this list before eating anything.

OH NO YOUR CLANMATES ARE DYING
A Medicine Cat runs to retrieve herbs from their store. There are:

-Dried up 24 beech leaves [Oct 21]
-Dried up 2 dandelions [Oct 21]

-3 dock leaves [Dec 14]

-1 bundles of cobwebs
-6 marigold [Dec 27]

(There are also 2 sprigs of thyme not in the store)

After a medicine cat gathers anything, tag @ sio and @ warriorlover and list out what they got and the abundance.

Examples
The medicine cat found some chickweed and some marigold.

Yes, medicine cats have to refer to this list. If there's nothing in the store then no one can get healed.

Silence. Clovercloud looked into the clearing with wide, amber eyes. He couldn't help but be amazed at how quiet the camp was. It kind of made the tom feel weird... Usually the camp was buzzing at this time. Usually his mind was buzzing...

The tom stood up quickly. He needed to do something. Something good, something to benefit the clan or a friend. He exited the warriors den when his eyes landed on the empty fresh kill pile. "Aha." He breathed, walking over to the empty pile and sniffing around. The fluffy tom imagined himself catching prey for the clan. He lowered his ears and his fluffy cream tail began to thrash.

A ginger tabby fidgeted and tapped their claws, tail twitching behind them as they stared blankly at the empty floor of the Medicine Den. On the floor, lay the brittle remains of herbs from weeks ago, and now ze knew it was time to forage for more. Stock up the stores. Ze needed to, or else their clan mates might be in trouble.

But ze needed to stop stalling. Ze just didn't want to go out by themself. Ze knew ze could just tell a clan mate to come with them, but it made their stomach quiver with nerves.

Finally, just wanting to rip the bandaid off, ze stood and pushed out of the Medicine Den, drawing close to Clovercloud, the only Warrior ze spotted lazing around camp.

"Clovercloud, I gotta stock up my stores." Asphodelberry blinked at the tom briefly, not stopping but only slowing to a near crawl. "I need you to come."

The tom's words came out smoothly, like ze, despite being young, didn't mind ordering around older Warriors. Though ze had been uncomfortable at the idea of asking for help, a sense of relief flooded them suddenly, not really to their notice.

Ze stopped finally, tail waving low behind them, their head tilted up to reach Clovercloud's gaze, a glimmer of curiosity, defiance, uncertainly, and even anxiety.

Thrushpaw had relished the idea of sleeping in. The past couple of days, he'd been getting up early and staying out late due to training. It was draining, and despite his typical hyper nature, he'd gotten worn out. So the young apprentice greatly enjoyed his break! Stretching out in his nest, he yawned and stood, brushing some moss off of his pale tabby pelt and trotting out of the den.

Immediately his gaze fell upon his mentor, Clovercloud, being spoken to by the medicine cat, Asphodelberry. If the herb stores were as low as the fresh-kill pile (as in, empty), he could imagine that they had quite a bit to do. The young tom's stomach growled and he sighed, flicking his tail before approaching the older cats.

"Hello. Seems we've got some hunting to do. I could work on my crouch!" Thrushpaw kind of automatically assumed that he'd be coming, given how Clovercloud was his mentor and all.

Cloverclooud turned around when Asphodelberry approached him. The cream tom looked into the Medicine Cats eyes with a smile on his face. He stopped flicking his tail and raised it high. He wasn't too close with the medicine cat but he'd still be friendly with him.

The warrior couldn't help but nod at his offer. Finally, he could be helping somebody. Finding herbs sounded fun too! "I-" He was about to agree with the tom when his apprentice came around. Clovercloud moved to sit next to the younger tom and wrapped his fluffy tail around his body. "You wouldn't mind Thrushpaw coming, would you?" He asked. He had almost forgotten about the tabby. Clovercloud had been too eager to be doing something.

A smile began to form on the tom's lips as ze met Clovercloud's yellow gaze, excited now to escape the confinement of the camp and roam the forest in search of herbs. All too good to be true though, ze should've known. Zeir stomach began to turn as the scent of a pubescent tom slithered into the camp-center, and a young tabby padded towards his Mentor.

Zeir lips parted, and eyelids lowered. Zeir whiskers were deathly still, and the Medicine Cat's tail slowed to a halt. Dread made zeir stomach drop, the thought of being around an Apprentice frustrating zem. Ze took in a slow breath and did zeir best to look like ze was fine.

"Sure."

Ze met the Apprentice's eyes, an unreadable but cold expression on zeir face. Asphodelberry tried to judge how mature the young tom was, in the head. Ze he could guess the Apprentice was primarily focused on one thing right now; queens and mollies. Being the only Apprentice must be lonely. Being a Medicine Cat was lonely too, that's why Asphodelberry was excited to spend time with a Warrior, but of course a kitten would spoil that.

Stifling a miserable sigh, the tom tried zeir best to look excited as ze was before, tail winding behind zem.

Well, it was soon obvious enough as the medicine cat turned and regarded the younger tom with a cold look. Thrushpaw felt annoyance flare up in his chest as the older cat's enthusiasm faded, and he frowned.

"What, find a thorn in your bedding? More cats means more prey and, in your case, herbs. If anything, you should be thanking me! I'm going to help you, whether you like it or not." Now he was really getting into it. Despite his snappish tone, the young tom maintained a rather relaxed posture. "Or, I guess if you and Clovercloud would rather go out without me -StarClan knows why- I'd be happy to hunt by myself. But then I wouldn't be learning much, would I."

Asphodelberry's mouth slipped open, lips draping over pearly canines. Zeir whiskers dipped down, twitching in shock at the lack of social inhibition from Thrushpaw, as if manners just weren't in his books.

Ze turned zeir tabby face to the young tom's Mentor, brows raised as if ze were questioning 'You've really been letting your Apprentice get away would the thought that he could talk back to a Medicine Cat?'

Ze wanted to ask what ze had even done to suddenly provoke this reaction from the arrogant Apprentice.

Pikefang lounged near the warrior den; muscles loose instead of tense as he relaxed. His head was raised though as with long, slow and lazy strokes he groomed himself and was currently focus on his front legs and forepaws. His eyelids drooped as he felt content enough that he wouldn't mind being able to laze around for awhile, yet apart of him was burning for something to do. So he could contribute to his clan and be able to get something to eat.

Well, actually, even if Pikefang did contribute to the clan, unless it was in the form of hunting and he succeeded in brining back prey; eating really wouldn't be able to be something he could do afterwards. His gaze slid to the fresh kill pile, remembering again how it was empty, as he ceased his grooming for a moment and sighed. I didn't really plan on going out hunting unless Briarstar assigned me to a hunting patrol, because I figured patrols even without a deputy would be assigned soon, but maybe I should go out anyways, he silently considered.

Pikefang blinked when he noticed Clovercloud approaching the fresh-kill and he opened his mouth to warn him it was empty, but decided against it as he would see soon enough. Distracted, he continued to be a silent watcher as he noticed Asphodelberry approaching the tom, as his own ear twitched as he listened to them converse as it wasn't as if they were speaking quietly to each other. He then watched as Thrushpaw joined them, before pushing himself to his feet upon the medicine cat's agreement to let the apprentice to come along.

I don't plan on sticking around, but I guess I could see if they don't mind me tagging along until they find the spot where Asphodelberry is first going to search for herbs. Then I'll split and do some hunting on my own, probably nearby, Pikefang thought before he began walked up to them, but froze when Thrushpaw spoke, taking on a snappish tone as he spoke to the medicine cat. Deciding to not approach them until after Clovercloud said something to his apprentice, if he was going to say anything at all, or longer, he sat down and watched, watching for the moment he would consider appropriate to approach them again.

Anyone could sense the sudden mood change of Asphodelberry from a mile away. The tom grew curious and tilted his head. He then looked at his apprentice. He connected the dots...

"Excuse Thrushpaws words." He meowed gently, looking down at the black tabby tom then back up at the medicine cat. "I'll keep him out of your fur, I promise." He figured he'd test Thruspaws herbs by assigning him herbs to track down. He would then give the herbs to the medicine cat. It would be a quick solution to the medicine cats disdain towards kits and Thruspaws willingness to get out of camp. Clovercloud couldn't help but put on a wide grin. The thought of both cats being happy made him happy.

I'll try to be more... considerate." His tone was neutral, and it was clear he wouldn't change his behavior if he felt provoked again.

Standing, the brown tabby tom shook out his fur and peered around the camp, noting that few other cats were really out and about besides them. "Well? Are we gonna go?" Thrushpaw meowed suddenly, his voice thick with impatience. He was practically hopping up and down, his bright green gaze flickering from the camp entrance to his mentor.

Pikefang ear twitched as he listened to Clovercloud speak, but besides that, he didn't really do anything when the other tom was speaking. When he was finished though, the warrior pushed himself to his feet as he rose from the sitting position he had been in. He still didn't approach them though, awaiting to see if Thrushpaw was going to do anything before he got closer to them again. His ear twitched a second time as he listened to the apprentice's words, before he finally decided it was time to approach them as the younger tom asked them impatiently if they were going to go.

Pikefang advanced forward before stopping once he was rather close to the three cats as he cleared his throat. "Sorry to interrupt," he began apologetically, "But do you mind if I tag along with you guys until you reach the spot were Asphodelberry first plans on searching for herbs?"

The tabby tom's eyes widened as Clovercloud seemed not at all moved by his Apprentices hideous attitude. He spotted Pikefang hovering around the group, and suddenly his demeanor shifted to one of disgust. Was the tom really letting his Apprentice get away with being rude to a Medicine Cat?

Asphodelberry cleared his throat as Clovercloud concluded, and fought the urge to smack Thrushpaw upside the head as he began barking again. It wouldn't be a pretty sight to see a Medicine Cat get violent after all.

His gaze shifted once more to Pikefang as the tom quietly, and rather politely, entered the conversation. The Medicine Cat pushed aside the fact that he had been ease dropping in favor of mentally thanking him for stepping in and cutting off Thrushpaw's complaints.

"Actually, Pikefang, why don't you come with me instead." The Medicine Cat meowed, his voice tense, on edge and drilling his claws into the soft ground. "Then these two can get to restocking the prey pile."

He avoided the snarky Apprentice's gaze, suddenly made uncomfortable by the young tom's odd outbursts. The ginger tabby's fur began rising along his spine, and his eyes were slitted.

He hoped in his gut that Thrushpaw would keep his mouth shut and be happy he'd be hunting instead of looking for medicine, fearful that if a single peep came out of his mouth again that the healer would be digging his claws into him soon enough.

"I'm sure Pikefang will be better at finding herbs than I." He meowed, stepping behind Thrushpaw and nudging him along. "To the forest we go."
