The loner shrugged. "I don't really live anywhere yet. I'm just exploring everyone, you know? Hence why I ended up here and..." Lark took a moment to glance around the cave once more. "It's great!"

For some reason, Lark couldn't get the clans off her mind. JaggedClan. Her sister and her had often wondered about the clans--or at least Lark thought Squirrel had been curious about them too. Her sister never said much, often to her annoyance. That didn't mean she didn't miss her sister's company, but... being without her was nice sometimes too. Sometimes. The loner looked intently at Iceclaw. "Would you mind telling me more about JaggedClan? Do you get to socialize a lot? I'm sorry, but like... I've never had a chance to learn about them before!"

Iceclaw squinted her eyes and thought "Jaggedclan..." she began speaking her voice pinched "They're not really the social type. They're also..." her voice trailed off again and it was obvious that she was trying to refrain from cursing at Jaggedclan. She found her voice again and she began to continue her little speech about Jaggedclan. "The strongest clan I guess you could say. But also the most annoying" her claws had unsheathed when she had started to talk but she hadn't realized. "There are also other clans too as you might already know. Oakclan is the biggest." No contest there she thought. "Mistclan is the most religious. And Flameclan... well I don't know much about Flameclan." she thought for a moment before talking again. "If you ever are interested in joining a clan I would suggest asking Oakclan first. They tend to be more kind to strangers." She'd look at Lark waiting for the Loner to process all that she'd heard.

Some of what Iceclaw said Lark already knew—for the white queen had already shared some information when they had been out hunting. She was, however, disappointed to hear that they weren't very social. Even though it shouldn't really concern her. Was that true only for JaggedClan, or for the rest? She only realized when Iceclaw had been speaking for a bit that her claws had been unsheathed, and her eyes widened. Was she planning something?

Or wait, was it the subject that was causing her to be so tense? Her sister would have known.

Iceclaw's last remark surprised her. Looking to join? Friendly to strangers? "O-oh," she stammered, blinking a few times. It was an interesting idea. "I hadn't really thought about that. I thought... I thought the clans were all closed off. From what I'd heard, they're not very friendly to cats that aren't already with them?" Lark jumped to her feet, becoming animated. "Like they go scritch and they go scratch, and if they don't like you they're horrible!"

Iceclaw shook her head "We don't claw people to death just because they go into our territory. Some clans don't accept loners and will most likely chase you out. But they will most likely let you explain before the leader decides.And Oakclan is the biggest clan because they accept loners. Mistclan on the other hand pride themselves on being clan-born. Jaggedclan will accept you if you fight well but honestly most loners haven't been trained in fighting." her claws had sheathed after she stopped talking about Jaggedclan.

The loner sat back down as Iceclaw explained, tilting her head to one side. So the rumors weren't true? Or perhaps they had some basis. But anyway, Iceclaw had actually been a part of one of those clans.

When the queen remarked that most loners hadn't been trained in fighting, Lark frowned."What makes you say that? Where're you getting that information from?" She seemed a bit offended. "Of course I can fight! It's very important, because once--if I find a spot I want to live, I'll have to protect it. And even now, if someone wants to steal prey?" She unsheathed one paw and swiped it lazily through the air. "You have to fight." Perhaps she was exaggerating a bit, having gotten into no fights so far. But she had been trained.
