Briarstar — Leader of OakClan
Stride. Emphasize. "Command." 'Agonize.'

As she had suspected, Rowanstar was absolutely enraged by her announcement, loosing her composure and going the extreme mode. Briarstar could definitely see where she was coming from. But that way wouldn't work, she knew it. The leader said nothing yet though, listening with a still calm face as Goldenstorm began the insults. "Don't insult my lovely leader", she said, except that Goldenstorm was insulting the leaders around her. How petty. She wouldn't fall to their level. What the newly appointed deputy said was still infuriating though, and it was only moons of practice that kept her fur smooth. The words of a JaggedClan warrior surprised her. He was speaking against his clan? Oh, if what she had gotten from Birchstar was correct, the JaggedClan leader wouldn't be too happy with the tom later. That was more how JaggedClan should be like though: apologize, admit their wrong, and ask for help or solutions too.
JaggedClan was arguing among themselves. Spiderfang spoke up next, defending Birchstar's rank and echoing Goldenstorm. But what he said next, that was the problem. The death of a queen was simply unfortunate? He tried to use that as comparison to what would happen if they were driven out? It was wrong.
When Birchstar finally spoke, of course it was in a way that the JaggedClan leader knew would cause the most anger. Making the clans wait while she went over the new appointments and trivial happenings. Except for one thing. One of their own cats had killed their medicine cat? She knew it. She had always known. JaggedClan could not keep themselves together. They had no order. As Birchstar spoke, Briarstar went over the little bits she had picked out from the comments on the raid, thinking of responses and proper reactions and adding more notes as Birchstar finally spoke about the raiding. There was much to say.
What Briarstar hadn't expected though, was for Birchstar to run away. 'But that's not surprising, is it? She's scared.' Ruepath hissed her outrage, and Briarstar spoke quickly. "No. It's not over. Are you really running away, Birchstar? When one of my warriors came to alert us of your raiding last Gathering, you ran then too.
If you do not intend to hide, if you think you're so justified, why must you run?" When Birchstar didn't stop walking, Briarstar simply raised her voice to make sure the retreating cat could hear her. She wondered, would the rest of her clan follow?
"But it's not justified. Our voices have been raised after JaggedClan raids, but perhaps we—perhaps OakClan's last leader was too lenient." She should not speak for the other clans, though they obviously had let it slide too far as well. "I thought you, JaggedClan, would get your act together. Think of better ways to overcome this obstacle. You think you have become strong and tough. Instead, you have been close-minded and stubborn. By harming the innocent, you have also crossed another line. A queen died, Birchstar, not a warrior. One who could not defend herself.
However, I have spoken with my valued warriors. As long as JaggedClan stops raiding, we support the idea of you moving around our territories and finding a more plentiful spot." Briarstar then looked to Rowanstar and Stormstar, a question in her eyes, before looking towards the retreating figure once more. She looked ready to leap off the Rock, but did not do so just yet.

OOC: If Birch actually kept walking away and didn't stop, then let me know and I can redo. Redone. Stopping my post here to let others react, but after a bit of reaction Briar's probably going go after Birch to stop her.
