Please refer to this when roleplaying! This Leaf-bare is lasting for three moons in the roleplay, and it's harsher than usual. Some of you may have noticed that the last timeline was for Green-leaf, and that this one jumps straight to Leaf-bare. That is because at the end of Green-leaf the weather was already made to turn colder, transitioning into a quick fall. The timeline has a description for the cloud cover, precipitation, wind, and a high and low for the temperature. It's up to you to decide on the exact temperature, based on whether it is day or night in the rp.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!
Apr 1 – 5
High/Low: 35/30°F ; 2/-1°C
Without warning snow comes—heavy, wet flakes that start out slow but soon pick up speed until falling fast enough to quickly cover a cat's tracks. It accumulates until there are about 5 inches/15 cm. There isn't much breeze to speak of.
Apr 6 – 10
High/Low: 54/39°F ; 12/4°C
The skies remain gray and cast over, and now a decidedly cold wind picks up. The snow turns to a slushy rain, mixing with the snow on the ground to create a slippery mix. The temperature isn't cold enough yet to freeze the slush on the ground and trees, which would be dangerous, but without a doubt Leaf-bare is here.
Apr 11 – 15
High/Low: 32/25°F ; 0/-4°C
Snow returns to fall in fine flakes upon the clans, and the temperature drops drastically. There are occasional gusts of wind that send the flakes from the top layer of snow flying. Now, there are approximately 7 inches/20 cm of snow. The sky is completed covered, only allowing diluted sunlight to filter through.
Apr 16 – 20
High/Low: 26/19°F ; -3/-7°C
The snow lets up, and the clouds draw back. The sky is a clear blue, but the sun does nothing to warm or melt the snow. Wind blows steadily too, making it seem even colder.
Apr 21 – 25
High/Low: 29/23°F ; -2/-5°C
To add to the inches already on the ground, clouds roll in once more. More snow begins to fall, stacking on top of the old snow until it is a total of 14 inches/35.5 cm. Luckily, the wind stops.
Apr 26 – 30
High/Low: 33/26°F ; 1/-3°C
Finally giving the clans a break, only a few flurries of snow fall now. It's not enough to accumulate much, so mostly the snow gets pushed around by gusts of wind to form deeper drifts. Patches of blue show here and there as clouds are blown across the sky.
