General Rules
In addition to these rules, we ask that you please follow the Proboards Terms of Service.
These are some rules that are to be followed both in, and out, of the roleplay. Breaking these rules will result in either a warning or a ban. These rules are in place to make sure that all the members of Moonrise have a fun (and safe!) experience!
The Golden Rule: Under no circumstances will the staff team tolerate any of the following; discrimination upon age, gender, race, social status, political opinions, sexuality/sexuality of characters, gender identification or any other form of bigotry! Breaking this rule will result in a warning, and if severe, a quick and permanent ban.
Rules
1. Do not post links to screamers inside of the shoutbox, or through PM! Screamers can cause people serious health issues and it is not a cool thing to do! Please obey this rule, the staff beg of you!
Rules
1. Do not post links to screamers inside of the shoutbox, or through PM! Screamers can cause people serious health issues and it is not a cool thing to do! Please obey this rule, the staff beg of you!
2. Under no circumstance are you allowed to harass a member inside (or outside) of the roleplay!
3. Keep everything rated PG-13. Please try to keep swearing to a minimum, along with gore! Please do not post any explicit sexual content in or outside of roleplay. ('Retard' or any other word related to this falls under the swear category and can be offensive to others.)
4. There is a one-account maximum! You may have as many cats as you like included in the roleplay, however, make sure to remember that inactive cats will be cut! If we find that you have created a second account, it will be deleted. If you continue to do this, you will be IP banned! Keep that in mind! Sibling accounts are allowed, however, but you must send a PM informing us that it is in fact a sibling!
5. No spam will be tolerated. This includes spam posts, threads, or links, as well as messages sent in the shoutbox.
6. If you happen to have a question, please ask in the help board under the general category or PM a member of staff!
7. Make sure to follow all of the roleplaying rules while roleplaying. If your character fails to meet the requirements, you may be messaged by a staff member with what rule you violated and what needs to be altered!
8. Please do not mini-mod! If you see a member breaking the rules, PM a member of staff with evidence! Screenshots are preferred, as text could easily be altered.
9. If you ask to be a part of the staff team, there is a good chance that you will not become a staff member.
10. The shoutbox is for what it is named, chatting. Please do not try to bully anybody inside of the shoutbox or pick fights with other users. To reduce spam, please do not post more than once unless it is a continued paragraph that the word count cut off.
11. Advertising of other forums is to be done in the designated board. Any advertisements found outside of the board will be removed; this does not include advertisements inside of signatures.
12. Signature sizes are not allowed to be over the height of 250 pixels. Signatures should not contain videos, multiple images that stretch the page, images with flashing colors and/or crude natures.
13. Please do not complain about warning levels! They have been added for a reason! If you have an issue, please do not bring it up in the shoutbox! Instead, PM a Staff member.
14. Remember, the shoutbox is a privilege and can easily be removed!
15. If you are under the age of 13, please do not join this forum. If you are found to be under the age of 13, you will be banned until your 13th birthday.
16. If someone has had multiple chances on the site and has continually caused issues, or if the staff as a whole(not just one or two people) have had conflicts with a specific person multiple times, such as harassment, prejudice, or other serious matters, we do reserve the right to remove access from this site to that person, regardless of where this occurred. If the staff are not comfortable with a certain person being on the site, we do have the right to keep them away even if they have not broken the site's rules on the website. Note that this does not count for personal issues such as simple dislike of someone, this will only be carried out under serious circumstances, and will be judged by the entire staff team rather than one or two people.
17. Do NOT be rude to staff members or any members in general. This also applies for when you are called out for something you have done that is against the rules, or not doing something that is your responsibility to do. If you are called out by staff, do NOT talk back or be rude about it, or you could lose privileges or even be banned from roleplaying or the site as a whole.
18. A person's warning level will be increased by differing amounts depending on the rule broken. Once a member reaches a 70% warning level, they will be temporarily banned for a week. Once a member gets a warning level of 100%, they will be permanently banned.
19. Please do not mention any of the following triggers.
Rape, self-harm, abuse, suicide, etc.
If you include anything like this in the media board, such as in literature or art, please include a spoiler tag within the title and the post! If your literature, art, etc. contains several different potential triggers, please type a warning at the top of the post explaining that the post contains potential triggers.
20. Please do not speak in code of any sort- this includes numerical, symbolic, or other such forms of communication. Moderating what is said in code is extremely difficult, and the Staff want nothing more than to keep the community safe, so if you want to speak in code, do it privately.
21. Please do not spread personal information, be it yours or anyone else's! This includes but is not limited to using photos of yourself/others as your profile picture, telling other people yours/someone else's full name, and telling others where you/other people live. This is a huge safety issue! We want to keep Moonrise a safe place, and following this rule will improve your experience here as well as the experiences of others.
22. Harassment is NEVER okay. It doesn't matter what your past is with someone, or what you think of them personally or what you've been told about them, you may not harass anyone on this forum. Unnecessarily attacking someone for mundane reasons, even if they had done things in the past, is unnecessary and unwanted within this community.
23. Anyone who has not broken our rules and does not plan to is welcome on this site and will never be turned away or denied free access or rights to do as everyone else on the site does. We will never shut anyone out or tell them that they are unwelcome here, whether they have a bad past or not.
24. Please do not post in old threads! Any thread that has gone without a post for a month and a half is considered old. If you want to post, but know that the thread is old, please ask a staff member to recreate the thread. This will keep things updated and ensure that everybody has a fair shot at posting.
25. Discussion of genocide, human extermination, mass shootings, and any other topics that Staff decide fall under the general category, are not allowed unless regarding a specific event. For example, you can talk about things like the Orlando shootings or 9/11, but you are not allowed to say that you want all humans to undergo mass genocide, or that you want to shoot up a school, or anything like that. This rule is to be followed both in the Skype chats AND on the site. This is inappropriate and can get us into a lot of trouble should you decide to go through with it.
26. Do not put your nose into business that is not yours. Do not attempt to "white knight" for your friends. If you were not there or directly involved, chances are you do not know the whole story and any information you're using is both biased and unintentionally incorrect. We all love our friends and want to protect them; the best way to do this is to ease their anxieties and comfort/support them, rather than overcomplicating things by getting involved!
26.5; What happens between staff and members remains between staff and members. Don't pull in your brother, your sister, your Significant Other, your grandma, or your left toe's uncle by marriage. It is between the person and Staff only. If you are not part of the immediate conversation, you have no business being in it.
