Briarstar — Leader of OakClan
Stride. Emphasize. "Command." 'Agonize.'

After some more back and forth discussion, Briarstar stood up. “That’s settled then,” she mewed with a sigh. “I will approach the topic at the Gathering.” Her mother still didn’t seem too happy about the conclusion and Thornheart had fallen silent after having his entirely peaceful proposal rejected, but it would have to do. “JaggedClan will stop raiding.” With that, she looked up at the darkening sky and at the snow that now fell. There would be no time to rest. They needed to get going, or be late. Which wouldn’t do. The loner still hadn’t been assessed, Lilaccloud hadn’t been spoken to, and she wouldn’t have a chance to check on Quailface and Alderpelt. Along with many other things she had been hoping to do. Like get an update on the apprentices’ training, on Riley, to speak with the kits, discuss a fighting review with Echospring…
Not bothering to leap onto the Highbranch, Briarstar began to call across camp. “Attention, OakClan!” she yowled, waiting a short time for the cats in camp to pay attention. “The Gathering is tonight, and we leave now. Echospring, Fallowface and Minkpaw, Thornheart, Ruepath and Bramblepaw, Opossumtail, Clovercloud, Crickettail, and Pigeonnose, all of you are going.” She was taking along many older warriors, was she taking too many? But that still left more than half of OakClan in camp, and she wanted to show that OakClan had not been affected. It would have to do. JaggedClan couldn’t possibly attack tonight, right? They had to know that it would be fruitless, after last time.
“While we are gone, Sootclaw remains in charge of camp.” Burnetfoot wasn’t in camp, or else she might have put him in charge instead. “If there are any issues, go to him.” Like Lilaccloud. She hated to leave the duty to her brother, but Briarstar had to leave now. Before heading towards the exit though, she looked at Clovercloud and lowered her voice. “If you’d rather stay in camp, that’s alright.” She wasn’t sure whether Clovercloud would want to go off without his apprentice, especially with the loss of Chestnutflower so recent.
That reminded her. In a softer tone, she added to her announcement, “Chestnutflower should be buried while I am out.”
With that, Briarstar strode towards the exit. Once there she waited until everyone who was going had gathered, then started out briskly towards the Gathering Rock.

OOC: Tagging everyone in OakClan so you’re all aware, if your cat isn’t in camp ignore this. Gathering goers, feel free to react here or not, I’ll be posting at the Gathering later today. Also, I assumed that enough time has passed for a vigil and goodbyes to be held for Chestnut.
